How to Make Broccoli Sprout Extract Powder
Our broccoli extract is made from premium broccoli seeds grown under optimal conditions, refined through hexane defatting and ethanol extraction. This extract is 100% natural and contains no artificial additives. Throughout the production process, we implement a rigorous quality control system to ensure you obtain high-quality glucoraphanin powder. The specific extraction process steps are as follows:
1.Raw material pretreatment:
We select broccoli seeds as raw materials because their seed content is 10-100 times that of mature plants. In production, the broccoli seeds are first dried at 105℃ for 2 hours to completely inactivate the black mustard enzyme and retain the activity of the raw material; after cooling, they are crushed through an 80-mesh sieve, and then the fat is removed by reflux extraction. After the residual solvent is evaporated, they are ready for use.
2.Extraction procedure:
We added 51% ethanol to the pretreated seed powder at a material-to-liquid ratio of 1:18 (g/mL), and extracted it by ultrasonication at 69℃ for 16 minutes. After extraction, we centrifuged and collected the supernatant. The precipitate was extracted twice more, and all supernatants were combined.
3.Concentration treatment:
The combined supernatant was concentrated under reduced pressure at 55℃ to a volume of less than 50mL, and then diluted to 50mL with ultrapure water. After centrifugation, it was filtered through a 0.45μm microporous membrane.
4.Purification:
The extract was filtered using a 10 kDa tangential flow ultrafiltration membrane at 25°C and 0.25 MPa column pressure to remove large molecular protein impurities.
5.Preparation of finished product: The purified extract was freeze-dried under vacuum to obtain glucoraphanin product.
